As Independent Software Developers and Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementers we came across a problem when scoping project for clients. When clients wanted customisations carried out on their Dynamics CRM system there was often a lot of back and forwards over the layout of screens for usability and content flow.
In order to arrive at the best solution for our customers more efficiently, we needed to create Dynamics CRM mock-ups of how the custom screens would look. We decided that we could do a lot better than just providing simple wireframes in Visio 2007.
After some 80+ hours we produced a Visio 2007 stencil set that allows us to create full entity mock-ups and user views of customisations.
Clients now sign off on views and tab customisations before we produce them on their system.
