CRM attempts to accomplish these goals by providing greater visibility into customer information and by empowering people to make better use of customer data to drive successful business outcomes.
XRM
XRM is the development environment on which the CRM packaged application was built on. The primary goals of XRM are to drive business results through differentiated line-of-business applications and optimized IT. XRM attempts to accomplish these goals by providing greater visibility into highly differentiated and specialized processes and by empowering IT to accelerate the development of line-of-business applications as well as standardize the management of multiple LOB applications
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Packaged applications that automate business-critical processes such as financial management, supply chain management, and customer relationship management. LOB applications automate highly specialized business processes such as asset management, vendor management, and patient management among other processes that cannot be fully met through packaged applications.
Microsoft Application Platform
The Microsoft Application Platform provides core technology capabilities, tools, and infrastructure across business intelligence, service-oriented architecture, development, user experience, and data management for enterprise applications.
